Tidewater Community College is seeking a part-time Practical Nursing Education Program Instructor for the Beazley School of Nursing in Virginia Beach. The role focuses on instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in clinical and lab settings.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in nursing, an active RN license, and at least five years of recent clinical experience, including Medical/Surgical nursing, with the ability to coordinate with clinical sites and faculty.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in Virginia.
• Minimum of five years of full-time clinical RN experience.
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in clinical and lab settings.
• Supervise and evaluate groups of students in hospital or health care settings.
• Be familiar with nursing curriculum and course objectives.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with clinical sites, faculty, and staff.
• Occasional day, evening, or weekend work may be required.
• Maintain student records and sign off clinical hours.
