Job summary

The Parole & Probation Deputy position is the entry-level role in the Parole & Probation Division of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. It involves supervising adult justice-involved individuals in the community to maintain public safety and support rehabilitation, with opportunities for progression based on training and experience.

Prospective deputies will carry firearms and engage with justice-involved individuals daily, using corrections knowledge and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory and investigative services to individuals recommended for placement under supervision by releasing authorities.
• Interact daily with justice-involved individuals (JII’s) using basic corrections knowledge and interpersonal communication skills.
• Parole & Probation Deputies will be required to carry firearms issued by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
