Job summary

Ochsner Behavioral Health Acadiana is seeking Intensive Outpatient Program therapists in Lafayette to provide direct clinical services across age groups in an inpatient/outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and group therapy within a multidisciplinary team, with emphasis on ethical care and family involvement. CPR and de-escalation training are required.

Qualifications

• CSW/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT/LPC/LPC-A (TX Only) or Psychologist required.
• 0–1 year post-graduate clinical experience.
• Ability to provide care across age groups.
• Knowledge of growth and development principles.
• Understanding of mental illness and chemical dependency dynamics.
• CPR certification and Oceans-approved de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services per accepted standards.
• Plan and conduct group therapy as assigned.
• Conduct, assess and interpret Comprehensive Integrated Assessments.
• Review Multidisciplinary assessments and compile a Treatment Plan.
• Perform case management and discharge planning.
• Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and summarize progress.
• Deliver ethical care that respects patient dignity.
• Assess age/disability/cultural needs and communicate with families.
• Involve patient’s support system in decision making as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
