Job summary

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for PRN coverage. You will assess patients, develop OT interventions, and work with the rehabilitation team to achieve functional goals for adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Effective oral and written communication in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients treated by OT staff and students.
• Assesses patients' needs and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions; collaborates with the patient care team.
• Observes and evaluates treatment progress; communicates with the physician as needed.
• Performs appropriate patient assessments and reassessments, with QA scoring.
• Assesses pain and intervenes to facilitate participation in rehabilitation; liaises with physicians as necessary.
