Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. The OT will administer and evaluate tests, develop and modify treatment plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to achieve measurable functional goals.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy; a Master’s or Doctorate is preferred. Licensure in Texas is required; BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum).
• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician orders and requests interpretation as necessary.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients.
• Reviews patient charts and progress prior to treatment and modifies the treatment plan accordingly.
• Develops functional goals based on patient/family expectations.
• Instructs and involves patient, family, social worker, nursing staff, and discharge planner in patient’s progress and discharge plans.
