Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and develop personalized treatment plans within a supportive team. The role focuses on supervising care, leading assessments, and guiding patients toward functional independence in a rehabilitation setting.

The ideal candidate holds current licensure, CPR certification, and a Master’s degree is preferred (or Bachelor’s with substantial experience).

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master’s Degree preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
