Job summary

Benchmark Human Services provides a mobile crisis program in Georgia, seeking paraprofessionals and Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) to support individuals in crisis across Region 6. The role includes 7 days on, 7 days off, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

The position requires a driver’s license, dependable transportation, a high school diploma or GED (some college preferred), and CPS certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required.
• Dependable transportation + vehicle insurance required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• 5 years experience with individuals with mental illness or emotional/behavioral crises preferred.
• Certified as a peer specialist or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis support to individuals in behavioral health crises.
• Ensure health, safety and respect of consumers we serve.
• Act as part of the blended mobile crisis as scheduled and needed.
• Provide crisis follow-up within 24 hours of crisis disposition.
• Complete face-to-face follow-up after crisis response and link to follow-up services.
• Document as required by Benchmark and governing regulations.
• Assist with safety planning under clinician direction.
• Attend community partner meetings and training sessions.
• Respond to crisis as required, including face-to-face within 60 minutes.
