Job summary

Jefferson Blount St Clair Mental Health Authority is seeking a Credentialing & Billing Specialist to manage insurance credentialing, enrollment, and non-Medicaid claims for outpatient mental health services. You will ensure licenses, registrations, and certifications are current, handle payer requests, and support audits while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate provider records.

Experience in medical billing and credentialing, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, and strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Highest level of accuracy in credentialing and billing tasks.
• Strong understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding and billing regulations.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medicare and commercial payer enrollment for new providers.
• Manage provider credentialing and recredentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and payers.
• Verify and maintain licenses, DEA registrations, certifications, and work history.
• Track license/certification expirations and renewals; ensure compliance with policies.
• Respond to payer requests and resolve credentialing issues; prepare reports for leadership.
• Perform electronic billing and posting for non-Medicaid claims; pursue corrections for denials.
