Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory clinic team in Denver. You will assist clinicians by gathering patient information, communicating with patients via phone and in person, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include providing patient care, accurate data entry, and maintaining confidentiality. The position requires BLS, MA program completion, and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of Medical Assistant Experience or a current RN/LPN license.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician, assisting the provider to gather information relevant to the patient’s visit and condition.
• Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care and ensure attention to detail and follow-through.
