Job summary

Ferrara is seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist at our Bellwood facility to strengthen production, warehouse, processing, and packaging through CI initiatives.

You will collaborate with product development, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations to achieve safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals while driving TPM and OEE improvements. In-person attendance and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, majors include industrial engineering, engineering, finance.
• Two years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma background; Green Belt preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, charter, and lead CI initiatives with updates to factory leadership and stakeholders.
• Use RCA, DMAIC, and other tools to drive improvements.
• Collect/analyze data; implement changes with sponsor, process owner, and operator involvement.
• Follow-up programs to sustain savings and drive additional opportunities.
• Collaborate with product development, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations to bring new products to market and meet objectives.
• Ensure safety, operational and quality standards are adhered to.
• Improve hourly workforce proficiency and training; interact with department heads to exchange productivity information.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Measure and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
