Job summary

Contra Costa County Health Services Department seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide skilled nursing care in inpatient and ambulatory settings. Under supervision of RNs and providers, you will perform patient care, medication administration, and documentation in EMR, ensuring safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• LVN license required in California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general bedside nursing and patient hygiene tasks.
• Administer medications including injections and oral medications under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity; monitor vital signs and chart observations.
• Document nursing activities and patient observations in EMR systems.
• Provide immunizations and nursing care in ambulatory settings as applicable.
• Assist with inserting catheters, dressings, and other standard nursing procedures.
• Coordinate with RN, providers, and care teams to meet patient needs.
