Job summary

Hamilton County seeks a dedicated Laundry/Uniforms Clerk to manage the cleaning, repair, and distribution of uniforms and linens for all living units. You will coordinate with cottage staff to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate inventory labeling, restocking and reporting.

The role requires basic education, ability to read and follow directions, and physical fitness to lift and handle laundry. A valid driver’s license is required for duties and safety training adherence.

Qualifications

• Completion of ninth grade education.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow simple directions.
• Exhibit physical fitness necessary to sort, fold and lift laundry.

Responsibilities

• Manage laundry/uniforms repair, replacement.
• Distribute clean uniforms and linens to living units with cottage staff.
• Maintain uniform inventory and labeling; monitor stock levels.
• Keep work areas neat, clean and orderly including laundry area and folding area.
• Issue restitution reports for lost/damaged uniforms; coordinate with Business Office.
• Provide quarterly inventory and restitution reports; manage budget goals and objectives.
• Coordinate seasonal dry cleaning and mending; restock as needed.
• Perform duties of co-workers as required.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
