Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to supervise and train adults with disabilities to acquire job and life skills critical to employment. The role emphasizes using best practices and technology in a community-based setting.

Starting rate is $18.00 an hour. Responsibilities include teaching job skills, assisting with resumes and interviews, coordinating with employers, and accurately completing documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in employment or related field required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds (weight of average manual wheelchair when chair is empty) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to help the consumer obtain and maintain competitive employment.
• Teach independent job skills and use task analysis and supports including assistive technology.
• Assist with resume creation, interviews, and job applications.
• Work with consumers at the job site, breaking tasks into teachable components.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate progress to employers, family, and support staff.
