Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments, assesses health care needs, and formulates a care plan, implementing and evaluating it.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable and timely patient-centered care.
• Works with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs and communicates with patients and families; acts as patient advocate.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and participates in professional development activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, upholding patient safety.
