Job summary

Marietta City Schools seeks a Paraprofessional, Instructional to support teachers in classroom activities, small and large groups, and remedial work. This 184-day, employee-at-will position reports to the principal and classroom teacher.

Qualified applicants must meet one of these criteria: 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of postsecondary coursework, or an Associate's Degree, or a passing Parapro Assessment acceptable in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Assists teacher with small group, large group, individualized and remedial/acceleration programs.
• Prepares instructional materials and performs clerical duties.
• Operates instructional equipment and sets up learning areas.
• supervises students in various locations and during field trips.
• Acts as substitute teacher in absence of regular teacher.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
