Qualifications

• Minimum degree: Associate's Degree or 48 hours college coursework.
• Must possess valid NC driver’s license.
• Experience as classroom assistant preferred.
• Two to five years serving as classroom teacher assistant and Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) with executing instruction and evaluating its effectiveness.
• Constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students.
• Monitor student attitudes and encourage self-esteem.
• Provide one-on-one assistance and small group support as needed.
• Maintain records and documentation concerning student progress.
• Proctor tests as directed and check daily attendance.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain classroom materials.
