Qualifications

• Complete at least two years of college (60 semester hours) or an associate’s degree or pass a state/local assessment.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics instruction with students.
• Ability to communicate professionally with students, staff and guardians.
• Exemplary work habits and strong interpersonal skills in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in preparing the classroom or lab for instruction.
• Help prepare and distribute lesson materials under supervision.
• Instruct students under the teacher's supervision and maintain records as needed.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom that supports learning and safety.
• Collaborate with educators to promote student engagement and understanding.
