Job summary

ABB Installation Products Caribe LLC in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Manufacturing/Quality Engineer to enhance the injection molding process and drive waste reduction.

You will define production methods, lead improvement projects, and support startups, working with maintenance and production teams. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required, with a focus on safety, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years in injection molding.
• Experience with automation of equipment desirable.
• Proficient in problem solving with FMEA, Lean and Six Sigma.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Enhance injection molding value by reducing waste and improving efficiency.
• Define production process sequence to meet cost and budget targets.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead cost/time constrained projects.
• Ensure processes meet targets; approve designs and perform final tests.
• Support production during start-up and training.
• Evaluate new process technologies to boost productivity and reduce cost.
