Job summary

Young World Physical Education in Tempe is seeking an IEP Writer – Special Education – School Based to join our Student Success team. This role focuses on developing and writing detailed IEPs, coordinating with teachers, families, and related services, and ensuring compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

Starting immediately, you will gather input, draft measurable goals, and monitor progress while collaborating with a diverse school community.

Qualifications

• Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of IDEA, state regulations, and best practices in special education.
• Experience developing and writing IEPs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and families.
• Proficient in using educational software and tools for data management and IEP writing.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and individualized IEPs based on assessments, teacher reports, parent input, and student performance data.
• Disseminate and collect classroom teacher information/forms needed for IEP.
• Ensure that IEPs include measurable goals, appropriate accommodations, modifications, and services.
• Update and revise Annual IEPs to reflect student progress.
• Provide teachers and parents with draft of IEP, based on the District IEP compliance checklist.
