Job summary

Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans is seeking a Materials Management Associate to support the supply chain through attentive customer service, issue resolution, and efficient receipt, stocking and delivery of supplies.

You will generate monthly reports, coordinate with internal and external customers, and help improve processes while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and standards; willingness to work a flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Work experience in an inventory management or distribution role; healthcare supply chain experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-based apps and standard software; data entry and reporting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor internal/external customer service email and phone lines to maintain service levels.
• Generate and analyze monthly productivity and supply chain reports.
• Ensure inventory and purchase orders are received, issued, and returned accurately.
• Train new employees on receiving and central supply duties.
• Resolve errors with receipts, orders, and par levels; identify process improvements.
• Support efforts to improve supply chain processes, metrics, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and address internal and external customer needs.
• Other related duties as required.
