Responsibilities

• Plan and provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) for students with disabilities in various educational settings.
• Modify and adapt the general education curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and needs, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and technologies.
• Facilitate and participate in eligibility meetings for students suspected of having a disability.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents/guardians, general education teachers, related service providers, and other IEP team members.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports as required by policy.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and IEP development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff assigned to individual students or the exceptional education program.
• Implement positive behavioral supports aligning with IEPs and school expectations.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing special education services.
