Job summary

A nonprofit charter school network is seeking a part-time After School Instructor in San Francisco. The successful candidate will provide homework assistance and engage students in academic and enrichment activities. Applicants should have experience in youth development and possess interpersonal skills to manage diverse classrooms. This role requires commitment throughout the school year, with approximately 20 hours/week, offering compensation between $20.92 and $24.84/hour based on experience, plus summer extension options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a youth development organization.
• Experience in planning and supervising activities for young people.
• Title I paraprofessionals must have instructional support qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement after school activities including academic assistance and enrichment.
• Document program schedules, lesson plans, and youth participation.
• Use positive behavior management techniques with children.

Skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to deal effectively with youth

Knowledge of Google Suite applications

Education

B.A. degree (or minimum 48 units in process)

Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment
