Job summary

Hour House Recovery is hiring for a dietary/kitchen role to prepare meals for adults in treatment for substance use disorder. You will follow recipes, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen while collaborating with the team to run smooth operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or related experience), a valid Illinois driver’s license, and an Illinois Food Service Manager Certificate (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Illinois Driver's License with good driving record.
• Illinois Food Service Manager Certificate or ability to obtain it on hire.
• Ability to read menus and safety/regulations manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and guidelines.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
• Monitor and manage inventory of food supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist with menu planning and special event catering as needed.
