Job summary

Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) seeks dedicated teachers to lead student growth across ELA and Math in a high-impact learning environment. Teachers will set ambitious achievement goals, deliver rigorous instruction, and monitor progress to ensure mastery for all scholars.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, collaboration with families, and commitment to serving under-served communities within PLA’s network of schools.

Qualifications

• A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with appropriate endorsements, if applicable.
• Valid State Teacher License or enrolled in a credentialing program.
• Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment.
• Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction.

Responsibilities

• Set ambitious goals for student achievement and hold scholars accountable for accomplishing those goals.
• Plan and deliver rigorous instruction and assess for mastery, tracking scholar progress.
• Intervene and pivot as necessary to support scholars’ success.
