Job summary

Cedars Youth Services in Lincoln, NE seeks a Crisis Stabilization Therapist & Clinical Consultant to join the Pioneers Center. This part-time role (20-25 hrs/wk) provides crisis support, safety planning, case consultation, and therapeutic interventions for youth in Emergency Shelter.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain client confidentiality, and coordinate with external providers to stabilize crises and transition youth to permanent placements.

Qualifications

• Must have Nebraska licensure for mental health practice or be LMHP/PLMHP eligible within 30 days.
• Master's degree in a mental health field is required.
• Two or more years of experience with children, youth, and families preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care is required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Fully licensed (LMHP) or provisionally licensed applicant with relevant clinical experience or eligible to apply for licensure within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop crisis and safety plans as well as engage in relapse prevention planning.
• Provide direct counseling services.
• Monitor the achievement of goals for assigned clients and families.
• Function as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide intensive clinical support to assigned programs to ensure a therapeutic environment for all clients.
• Work closely with the Cedars emergency shelter to provide crisis stabilization services to youth in care.
