Job summary

Peerstar LLC is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS) in mental health to provide hope, understanding, and empowerment through lived experience. You will support peers in recovery and help them navigate community resources.

Full-time or part-time roles are available; sponsorship for CPS certification is offered, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($2,000 if already certified). Eligible employees receive benefits and opportunities to grow within Pennsylvania's largest peer support provider.

Qualifications

• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Must be able to participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued certification or possess a PCB state-issued CPS certification.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Inspire hope and provide 1:1 peer support to individuals in the community.
• Help peers achieve growth and empowerment through shared experience.
• Document interactions and progress using an iPad.
