Job summary

Community Reach Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Medical Coding & Compliance Specialist to join our Quality Improvement Division. This role manages projects, conducts compliance audits, and assists with risk management across the agency to uphold high standards of care.

The position requires CPC certification and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years in a similar role, plus strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and state licensure. Flexible remote options may be available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; degree w/ CPC considered with experience
  • CPC or CCSP certification preferred/required
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare auditing and utilization review processes

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements internal compliance audits to support quality improvement
  • Oversees audits and responds to external audits ensuring PHI access controls
  • Keeps knowledge of Colorado state laws, licensure and CMS guidelines up to date
  • Collaborates with Utilization Manager to track client outcomes and KPI alignment
  • Assists in creating templates and processes for compliant clinical documentation
