Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• ESL Certification required within 2 years of employment for teachers hired in 2010-2011.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Gifted teachers must have 30 hours of gifted approved hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve a diverse population of students in general education and state/federal programs.
• Establish professional relationships and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
• Abide by district code of civility and maintain high attendance.
• Plan and participate in meetings and document student admissions, progress, and conferences.
