Job summary

Walla Walla Public Schools is seeking a part-time 5th Grade Basketball Coordinator in Walla Walla, Washington. The role is to set up, manage, and supervise 5th-grade basketball events and coordinate with the District Athletic Director and Transportation.

You will work with coaches to ensure equipment, uniforms, and facilities are maintained, hire and supervise coaches, and help develop an efficient registration system. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and coaching experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a basketball coach or in school athletics preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification or equivalent training required.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents, staff and community.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and supervise 5th Grade Basketball events.
• Promote the district athletic program philosophies and values.
• Schedule contests with the District AD and Transportation for facilities and transport.
• Develop and implement systems for equipment, supplies and uniforms purchasing/maintenance.
• Work with coaches to ensure district coaching requirements are met.
• Hire, assign, and supervise coaches; maintain safe facilities for games/practices.
