Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc is seeking a 4th Grade Instructional Support Teacher to assist lead classroom teachers with daily classroom management, small group and individual instruction, covering for teacher absences, and monitoring recess, lunch, transitions, and transportation duties.

Responsibilities include providing direct instruction, using assessments to guide learning, closing the achievement gap, and collaborating with staff to meet school goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education is required.
• Active PA K-8 certification is required.
• Additional PA Certifications are preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students in individual and small-group settings.
• Use test scores and observations to guide learning toward achievement.
• Assist lead teacher in closing the achievement gap by linking assessment to instruction.
• Assist in implementing various assessment strategies and interventions.
• Provide support to students in general education areas as assigned.
• Cover classrooms when the lead teacher is absent.
