Job summary

DREAM, originally founded in 1991 as Harlem RBI, serves more than 2,500 youth across East Harlem and the South Bronx through seven DREAM Charter Schools and community programs. Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Teacher will build strong relationships with students, implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum, and work with grade, leadership, and student support teams to analyze data.

This is a temporary assignment for the 2026-2027 year with a salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• New York State certification in subject area preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience with record of improving student achievement preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Commitment to DREAM’s mission and community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with co-teacher to foster high-level learning.
• Implement a Common Core–aligned curriculum with backward planning.
• Participate in grade team and Student Support/IEP meetings and professional development.
• Track and monitor academic progress for all students.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
• Communicate students’ progress to families and teams.
• Support data analysis and school initiatives.
