Job summary

University of Illinois Extension seeks an Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development. The role leads program development, delivery, and evaluation to support youth across Champaign and surrounding counties.

The educator will supervise and train volunteers, build partnerships with schools, communities, and higher education, and advance statewide youth initiatives. A master’s degree and driver’s license are required, with background checks per policy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Youth Development, Education, Community/Public Health, Leadership Studies, Agricultural/Environmental Sciences or related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Experience with youth development best practices and informal education settings.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership, develop and deliver educational programming, and evaluate impact.
• Collaborate with local organizations to assess community needs and implement responsive curricula.
• Develop curricula addressing local needs and align with statewide priorities.
• Deliver high-impact programs using diverse delivery methods and collaborate with volunteers and staff.
• Evaluate program outcomes and report on impact for continuous improvement.
