Job summary

Central Bank of Kansas City is seeking an Impact Manager to lead compliance for CDFI status and ensure timely reporting for ECIP, CMF, BEA, and CRA. The role combines data analysis, project management, and storytelling to translate bank activity into meaningful community impact insights.

You will design databases and dashboards, integrate data from loan systems, document data definitions, and collaborate across lending, compliance, and marketing to strengthen data collection and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience with a CDFI is preferred
  • Experience with impact-related responsibilities
  • Proven experience dealing with rules, guidance, and regulations of banking or CDFI related regulatory agencies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Build or enhance databases and reporting tools to support impact measurement and compliance.
  • Design and maintain impact measurement frameworks aligned with CDFI, Treasury, and philanthropic reporting requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to lending, investments, programs, and community outcomes.
  • Produce regular dashboards, reports, and visualizations for leadership, the board, and external audiences (customers/prospects).
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and reports.
  • Serve as a key internal resource on reporting timelines, metrics, and funder expectations.
  • Translate data into clear, compelling narratives that communicate our mission, outcomes, and value proposition.
  • Develop impact reports, grant narratives, case studies, and presentations.
  • Partner with marketing and leadership to ensure consistent, mission-driven messaging.
  • Use storytelling to demonstrate how capital and programs benefit communities and borrowers.
  • Work closely with lending, compliance, communications, and other teams to gather data and align reporting.
  • Support staff training related to data collection and reporting expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison to ensure shared understanding of impact goals and performance metrics.

Position Summary.

As the Impact Manager of a mission-driven bank, you will manage compliance with and assist with the recertification of the bank’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) status. Additionally, you will ensure compliant and timely reporting for other community impacts, including the Emergency Capital Investment Program (ECIP), Capital Magnet Fund (CMF), Bank Enterprise Award (BEA), CDFI Transaction Level Reporting, Financial and Technical Assistance awards, and assist with CRA. This position will not only ensure compliance but will build more efficient and scalable data collection and reporting processes. The role combines compliance, data analysis, project management and storytelling: ensuring reporting requirements are met, improving repeatable data-collection processes, and translating the Bank's activity into accurate, meaningful information about the people, businesses, and communities it serves.

Database Development & Reporting Systems
