Qualifications

• Requires active South Carolina Special Education certification or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience with IEP development, IDEA compliance, differentiation, and behavior supports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs based on students' needs.
• Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards.
• Adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with general ed teachers, related service providers, admins, and families.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction.
• Use positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies.
• Monitor progress and document to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings, MDT meetings, conferences, and PD activities.
• Foster inclusive, structured environments promoting academic and social-emotional growth.
• Support students in developing independence and life skills.
