Job summary

The Center for Social Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking a part-time Research Associate to help develop and conduct research projects, manage data, and pursue funding opportunities. The role involves coordinating with on-campus partners, supervising students, and preparing reports for publication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social or behavioral sciences, public policy, public health, education, or law is required.
• PhD degree in a related field is preferred and at least three years of relevant experience leading social policy research projects.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills; ability to engage external collaborators and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans and budgets for CSP research projects with the Director.
• Identify and pursue external funding opportunities in collaboration with partners.
• Write grant proposals and manage grants with the grants administration office.
• Supervise a team of students and carry out research projects.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data; prepare reports for publication.
• Present findings to academics, policymakers, practitioners, and community stakeholders.
