NEWSWELL is seeking an Investigative Impact Producer to help a statewide team maximize reach and impact of major journalism. You will identify opportunities for impact, guide processes, and document effects for public dissemination.

The role collaborates across statewide reporters and NEWSWELL’s newsrooms, bringing innovation, teaching and teamwork to outreach and audience connection.

Qualifications

• Storytelling excellence: distill complex information and manage multi‑month investigations and fast accountability hits.
• Digital fluency: SEO-aware writing, smart packaging and audience collaboration.
• Risk awareness: legal, safety and trauma-informed practices.
• Teamwork: strong collaboration with reporters and staff.
• Proficiency in AP style; commitment to fairness and community journalism.
• Experience identifying journalism impact and engaging audiences across platforms.

Responsabilités

• Support and amplify the process of conceiving, developing and producing investigative reporting.
• Build systems to measure civic impact and deliver exclusive findings.
• Mentor local newsrooms and collaborate on local reporting.
• Integrate solutions journalism and audience interaction into workflows.
• Collaborate with reporters to present stories to broad audiences across formats.
• Pilot new tools, including responsible AI, to enhance research and efficiency.
• Partner with ASU Cronkite School for student engagement and newsroom collaboration.
• Contribute to an inclusive newsroom culture focused on transparency and community impact.
