Job summary

LIFT is seeking a Development Director in Los Angeles to lead regional fundraising efforts, align strategy with the Executive Director and National Development Team, and supervise the Development Manager. The role focuses on growing institutional, corporate, and individual giving to meet revenue goals while advancing equity and social justice.

The Director will build and steward donor relationships, drive campaigns and events, and manage data in Salesforce to inform strategy and reporting.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years nonprofit fundraising experience including identifying, cultivating, and stewarding new prospects while continuing to cultivate and elevate existing donors.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles fundraising landscape and ability to network with stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate strategy into action.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills for donor conversations and proposals.
• Sound judgment, customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Salesforce experience (preferred) or other fundraising database.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional fundraising strategy and revenue planning with ED and National Development Team.
• Lead grants and foundation relations and manage donor portfolios to meet annual goals.
• Oversee institutional, corporate, and individual fundraising efforts and donor stewardship.
• Collaborate with Board and partners to expand supporter network and engage funders.
• Coach and mentor staff and prepare materials for funder meetings.
