Flint Freedom Schools Collaborative in Flint, Michigan, is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA for the Community Partnerships and Engagement role. The full-time position runs 11/16/2026–11/15/2027 and focuses on building organizational capacity through partnership tracking, outreach, and documentation tools in person in Flint.

Applicants should bring skills in communications, community organization, public speaking, recruitment, and teamwork. Transportation is required; some local travel may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in nonprofit work or community organizing welcomed.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and work in Flint in person.

Responsabilités

• Assess existing and prospective relationships and develop a verified partnership inventory and tracker.
• Create outreach, meeting, and follow-up tools; convene partners to identify shared priorities and collaboration opportunities.
• Establish counting criteria and document at least 15 distinct partnerships activated or maintained through qualifying commitments or collaborative activity.
• Develop staff referral workflows and records of the source, intended use, and documented value of cash or in kind contributions.
• Create a partnership toolkit, train staff, and document open commitments and update responsibilities for continued use.
