Job summary

Maker Ed is seeking a Communications Associate to support content creation, platform publishing, CRM management, and analytics. This role involves coordinating communications for events, campaigns, and opportunities, while maintaining high editorial standards and branding across channels.

You will help document in-person events, collaborate with program partners, and support website updates and press outreach as part of a dynamic communications team.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish content across platforms (social, newsletters, announcements, events).
• Promote events, publications, campaigns, and job opportunities via online channels.
• Document in-person events through photos, video, or articles; ensure grammar and accuracy.
• Elevate voices of programmatic partners and community through storytelling campaigns.
• Assist with branding, web content, and publishing blog posts on makered.org
• Write and disseminate press releases for major announcements.
