Job summary

The Whole Child is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support our communications, marketing, branding, and community engagement efforts in Whittier, CA. Under the Manager of Communications & Community Engagement, you will create content, manage social media, draft external communications, assist with events, and maintain brand consistency.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in communications or related fields, a degree in a related discipline, and hands-on experience with Canva,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• 1–2 years of communications, marketing, public relations, social media, internship, or related experience preferred.
• Experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Experience editing short-form video using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software is a plus.
• Experience with photography and videography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and websites.
• Manage social media scheduling, posting, and engagement tracking.
• Support internal and external communications and event promotion.
• Assist with photography and videography for agency communications.
• Maintain brand consistency across all materials.
• Update the website and digital assets.
