Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking an Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) Siding Technician in Schertz, TX. The role installs, repairs, and removes insulated metal siding panels, measuring, fitting, fastening, and sealing according to project specs and manufacturer instructions.

You will operate CladBoy/RotaBoy lifting equipment, read drawings, prep work areas, check alignment and weatherproofing, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience installing insulated metal panels or metal siding preferred.
• Experience with CladBoy, RotaBoy or similar panel lifting equipment preferred.
• Able to use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Able to follow installation drawings and crew directions.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to safe, quality workmanship.
• Willing to complete required safety and equipment training.

Responsibilities

• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install insulated metal siding panels.
• Install trim, flashing, fasteners, closures, sealants, and weatherproofing components.
• Assist with lifting and positioning panels using CladBoy or RotaBoy; operate only when trained.
• Read and follow drawings and instructions from Foreman or Superintendent.
• Prepare work areas, inspect materials, and ensure weather-tight installations.
• Safety meetings, hazard reviews, and use of proper PPE.

Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) Siding Technician

The IMP Siding Technician installs, repairs, and removes insulated metal siding panels and related components on construction and industrial projects. This position works with the installation crew to measure, fit, fasten, and seal panels according to project specifications and manufacturer instructions.

Work includes assisting with panel handling and installation using specialized vacuum lifting equipment, such as CladBoy and RotaBoy. Equipment operation requires appropriate training and authorization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install insulated metal siding panels.
• Install associated trim, flashing, fasteners, closures, sealants, and weatherproofing components.
• Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning panels using CladBoy, RotaBoy, or similar vacuum lifting equipment; operate equipment only when trained and authorized.
• Read and follow drawings, installation instructions, and directions from the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Prepare work areas and inspect materials before installation.
• Check panel alignment, spacing, fastening, and seals to ensure a secure, weather-tight installation.
• Assist with unloading, moving, staging, and storing panels and supplies.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and metal cutting equipment.
• Use ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and fall protection equipment as trained and authorized.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and pre-task hazard reviews.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow company and job site safety procedures.
• Report damaged materials, installation problems, equipment defects, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain tools and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience installing insulated metal panels, metal siding, or related exterior building systems preferred.
• Experience with CladBoy, RotaBoy, or similar panel lifting equipment preferred.
• Ability to use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to follow installation instructions and work effectively with a crew.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality workmanship.
• Willingness to complete required safety and equipment training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Work may involve outdoor weather, noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and elevated work areas. Duties require standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling panels, tools, and materials.

Employees must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. Lifting and material handling must follow site procedures, using lifting equipment or team assistance as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay is based on experience and qualifications. Overtime opportunities, travel requirements, and any per diem will be discussed during the hiring process.
