Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Research Technician II to join the lab of Dr. John DiPersio and work under Dr.

Jerry Xiang. The role focuses on developing immunotherapy approaches for leukemia in a collaborative academic environment with opportunities for advancement. The position involves tissue culture, data management, animal handling, and general lab duties in a 40-hour work week at Saint Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• No specific work experience is required for this position.
• No specific certification/professional license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assists with research studies, experiments and assays, including data collection and setup of equipment.
• Cultures primary human/mouse T cells and cell lines, generating lentivirus.
• Handles mice as needed for various procedures.
• Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.
• Prepares tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
• Complies with safety procedures and maintains documentation.
• Ensures lab conditions and equipment are cleaned and maintained.
• Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
