Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Technologist to join our team on a rotating schedule. The role involves ensuring specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex tests, and actively monitoring instrumentation to maintain quality results.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in a chemical/biological science or MLS, with clinical lab testing experience. ASCP/AMT certification preferred; color vision testing may be required. Flexibility for overtime and shifts is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science or MLS degree with relevant clinical lab testing experience.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
