Job summary

Lilly seeks a skilled statistical geneticist to strengthen target identification and validation in the Immunology Informatics team. You will apply Mendelian Randomization, GWAS interpretation, and multi-omic integration to identify and de-risk therapeutic targets across the immunology pipeline.

This role sits at the interface of human genetics, translational biology, and drug development strategy, collaborating with target discovery, translational medicine, and external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in statistical genetics, population genetics, genetic epidemiology, biostatistics, computational biology, or related field.
• Experience with large-scale population datasets and Mendelian Randomization methods.
• Proficiency in R and Git; basic knowledge of PLINK.

Responsibilities

• Lead genetic evidence reviews for targets using GWAS/exome data.
• Build target evaluation frameworks with quality scoring.
• Interpret data from public genetic resources to guide go/no-go decisions.
• Propose novel targets with strong human causal evidence.
• Communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
