The Ohio State University invites applications for Researcher 2 in the Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role supports the Immuno-Oncology Network and manages biobanking and clinical-research operations.

You will coordinate with OSUCCC partners, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize biospecimen workflows while contributing to space and equipment operations. This position blends research operations with stakeholder coordination to enable translational studies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience with a Master’s Degree.
• Experience with biospecimen handling, chain-of-custody, and biobanking best practices.
• Familiarity with IRB/IBC/IACUC, data privacy, and biosafety requirements.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with inventory or data systems (LIMS, REDCap, OnCore, or similar) and standard office software.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily ION operations with SOP development, biospecimen procurement, banking, characterization, and clinical annotation.
• Coordinate activities with the OSUCCC Clinical Trials Office, Biospecimen Shared Resource, and CTPL to ensure seamless sample processing and data integration.
• Maintain and improve the ION sample inventory database and biorepository systems, ensuring cradle-to-grave tracking.
• Assist the IMDP Director with budgeting, financial tracking, annual reports, and grant proposal preparation.
• Serve as liaison to internal and external investigators, ensuring timely response to specimen requests and MTAs.
