A nonprofit organization in South San Francisco is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support immigration legal services. Responsibilities include coordinating with attorneys, preparing court filing packages, and assisting clients. Candidates may have some experience in immigration law, but it is not required. This role offers a hybrid remote work environment, with flexibility in job types including full-time and part-time options.

Organization Overview: Fix Organization is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving as a bridge between funding sponsors and communities in need—implementing projects addressing the needs of the communities on multiple levels. Fix Organization meets the requirements and obtained 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status that qualifies for tax exemption by the IRS under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Thus, Fix Organization qualifies as a nonprofit organization to receive funds.
Role The organization is looking for Paralegal/Legal Assistants for Fix Immigration Legal Services. One year of experience in immigration law is a plus but not required.
Coordinate with Attorneys to assist with filings and immigration trial preparation
Prepare packages for immigration court filing or appeals filings
Assist attorneys with getting documents from clients
Prepare packages for immigration court filing or appeals filings
Prepare packages of UCSIC application
Assist attorneys with getting documents from clients
