Job summary

Her Justice, a nonprofit advancing rights for women and gender-diverse survivors in New York City, seeks an Immigration Paralegal. The role supports intake, case preparation, filings, referrals, clinics, and data management within the Immigration Practice.

Under supervision, you will assist with deadlines and coordinate with interns and volunteers." The ideal candidate is organized, trauma-informed, client-centered, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a collaborative legal services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a paralegal field.
• Paralegal certificate or two-year legal studies degree preferred.
• Experience or exposure to immigration law or legal services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Client intake interviews and screening under attorney supervision.
• Assist with immigration filings, documentation, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate case information and deadlines in case management systems.
• Support clinics, referrals, and pro bono activities for the Immigration Practice.
• Collaborate with attorneys, volunteers, and staff to ensure coordinated client services.
