Job summary

Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ) seeks staff attorneys to represent immigrants in detention and removal proceedings or related federal immigration litigation. Travel to courts and detention centers in New Jersey or Pennsylvania may be required.

Offices in Edison and Newark with a shared workspace in Collingswood. Strong candidates will have experience in removal and detention defense and related federal practice, with preferred NJ bar waiver or admission to the District of New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Experience in removal and detention defense and related federal practice.
• Ability to waive into New Jersey bar or apply for admission to the District of New Jersey if not admitted in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation to immigrants in detention and removal proceedings or in related federal immigration litigation.
• Travel to courts in New Jersey or detention centers as needed.
