Loudoun County Public Schools in Ashburn, Virginia seeks an Immigrant Youth (IY) Instructor to support identified Immigrant Youth and Refugee students and their families. The role links school, district, and community agencies to deliver targeted support services.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and may prefer Virginia Social Work/Counseling license. Bilingual Spanish is advantageous; expected hours are flexible and primarily part-time in nature.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Family Studies, Communications, or related field.
• Virginia Social Work/Counseling license preferred.
• Bilingual skills recommended; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between school, district staff, community agencies, and families to support Immigrant Youth (IY) and Refugee students.
• Develop and facilitate professional development for LCPS staff on needs of Immigrant Youth and refugee students.
• Coordinate multilingual family workshops on resources and services available.
• Provide one-on-one and small group supports to identified IY and families.
• Maintain partnerships with internal and external agencies to support IY and refugee students.
• Monitor data records and prepare quarterly reports for EL staff and leadership.
