Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Simulation Technician to support operations for immersive simulation equipment and systems in Albuquerque, NM. The role includes training faculty, maintaining inventory, and assisting with props and moulage to create realistic healthcare settings.

Requirements include a relevant diploma or certification and 2+ years of patient care experience, with weekend/evening coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: diploma or certification related to background (e.g., medical assistant diploma).
• Two or more years of patient care experience in relevant roles.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology, and equipment.
• Occasional weekend and/or evening coverage as needed.
• Licensure: Arizona LPN or RN licensure helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to ensure all simulation equipment runs properly.
• Provide technical support for systems and equipment related to immersive simulation.
• Assist with training faculty in the use of simulation equipment.
• Collaborate with the Lab Director to maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist in props placement and moulage setup to create a virtual healthcare setting.
• Assist with development of scenarios used for simulation experiences.
